Shariputhra College Wins All Island School Music Competition - 2016  

 **Representing the Senior folk group-religious singing-mixed section in the senior category. 

The aim of the this competition was to compose songs in such a way as to create religious harmony.👊👫

We won the first place in the regional and provincial competitions and qualified for the All island competition.👌 My school Ahangama Shariputhra College qualified for the All island competition representing the Southern Province.✌

The competition was held with the participation of schools from All provinces of All island.

College music teacher Mrs.Sarojani Somarathne created and practiced this feature. The college dancing teacher also assisted in the accompaniment.

All island Competition was held on 11th of June 2016 at the Main hall of St. Anthony's College. 

Our school was able to win the first place in the competition,suprassing the schools from other provinces.🏆🎻🎵🎇

Our design element also won the award for the best feature. 


This achievement of all of us was marked as a day of triumph in the musical journey. we received  a valuable certificate from the Ministry of Education printed with the state Emblem and a trophy in the first place.

And our self praised the victory and started posting about it in the newspapers as well as on social media..

We were very happy  that day.👌👦👧 Thank you to the Sarojani teacher who trained hard for this, as well as to the dancing teacher, all the teachers including the principal, the parents and the siblings who came forward for the event.


This is the biggest achievement of the College music unit in a long time. We were lucky to have such a win during school hours.

WE WILL NEWER FORGET THAT VICTORY....💪💗💥

Trip to Demodara & the Nine Arches Bridge  We went on that trip with the student of Sangeethanjalee Music Academy. It's  5 th of January 2018. The first meeting of the Matara team of the University 💗👊💪 We have known each other for more than a year. We took video calls and text messages every day. We had a separate WhatsApp group.😜 There we all talk and make suggestions about our meeting. Everyone liked that proposal. We waited impatiently until we had seen one another. So, we set aside a day for that and worked on it. There we first agreed to perform a Bodhi Pooja.🙏💜 We proposed a day for this on 22nd Of December 2021. At 1.00 pm on that day everyone wanted to gather near the Matara Bo tree. Mine Sister's Engagement Day

This is the most precious day of my sister's life.😍😍😍  The day the sister got engaged..💑  Despite the corona situation, We were able to make that day beautiful.💪 That was the day when my sister's hopes were fulfilled.. My sister was dressed like a beautiful bride that day. 👰 Just like a pink doll..💝 So when you see that, you feel a lot of love and greed..💕 The couple received blessings from both sides.🙏. It was the 8 years love between my sister and brother that blossomed. I saw a lot of her happiness that day..😘😘 Because she got the matching person..👌👌👌 They also did a beautiful photo suite that day..
