 ❤ Beginning of University Education ❤

I received an email on 29^th of  June 2019 announcing the date of the Orientation program. A letter signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Music stated how it was conducted.

It was a very happy day when we were selected for the music faculty of the University. It gave us a schedule of how that inauguration would take place. It was a six-day event. Because of the corona condition we had to do it through Zoom technology. We all waited with fingers crossed until that day dawned. We all hoped to meet on campus and begin our studies. But because of this corona condition we lost that day.

I eagerly waited for those Two days to pay off quickly.

The day that everyone was looking forward to is 1^st of July  2021.Thus began our naming program through Zoom Technology with a new experience ….It started with us being highly regarded as students of the University of the Visual & Performing Arts.

The theme song of our university was also played there. First the Chancellor of the University and the Dean of our Faculty contacted us and told us about the University and its academic activities.

The Department was also introduced by the Chief Lecturers of the Department.

This was held according to the schedule with the participation of various invited speakers. They are Veteran Writer Mahinda Prasad Masimbula, Veteran Lecturer Dr. Kuma Iddamallena, Dr. Nipuna Ranaweera, Prof. Samanchandra Ranasinghe and Prof. kolitha Bhanu Dissanayake were the keynote speakers. Invited lectures were important lectures for our Education as well as for future life. We were able to learn a lot from it.

The President of the Music Faculty Association addressed the fellow student community and briefed them on the activities as well as the University. The Orientation program was successfully completed over a period of Six days. All expectations were met and university Education began …

It will always be remembered as one of the most memorable days of my life.💖💖

  Now we are students of the University of the Visual & Performing Arts.
